گیس دنیا بھر میں مہنگی یہاں بھی مزید مہنگی ہونے کا امکان ہے: چیئرمین اوگرا








لاہور: چیئرمین آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (اوگرا) مسرور خان نے ملک میں گیس مزید مہنگی ہونے کا امکان ظاہر کر دیا۔

چیئرمین اوگرا مسرور خان نے گیس ٹیرف بڑھانے کے معاملے کی سماعت کی جس میں تمام اسٹیک ہولڈرز نے اپنا اپنا مؤقف پیش کیا۔

سوئی ناردرن نے گیس نرخوں میں دوبارہ 131 فیصد اضافہ مانگ لیا، اس سے قبل یکم نومبر سے گیس ٹیرف بڑھایا جا چکا ہے۔

چیئرمین اوگرا مسرور خان کا کہنا تھا تمام اسٹیک ہولڈرز کا مؤقف سن لیا ہے، اگلی سماعت پشاور میں ہو گی جس کے بعد سفارشات حکومت کو بھجوا دیں گے۔


مسرور خان کا کہنا تھا گیس کی قیمتوں میں اضافے کا حتمی اعلان حکومت کرتی ہے، لیکن ہمارے نزدیک صارفین کا مفاد اولین ترجیح ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ گیس دنیا بھر میں مہنگی ہے یہاں بھی مزید مہنگی ہونے کا امکان ہے، صارفین کو اب گیس کی بچت کی طرف جانا ہو گا، میں نے بھی اپنے گھر کا گیس بل بچت سے کنٹرول کیا ہے۔


چیئرمین اوگرا نے کہا کہ ہمارے پاس ذخائر کم پڑ گئے باہر سے مہنگی گیس منگوانی پڑتی ہے، امپورٹ کردہ آر ایل این جی کئی گنا مہنگی ہے جس کا بوجھ صارف اٹھاتا ہے۔
